Team XRAY USA, sponsored by RC America, was heading out to the US ROAR Off-Road National Championship with big expectations. Recent team testing and extensive work on set-ups has pushed the performance of the XB8 to the maximum level and several great results at recent races was boosting the confidence of the whole team. As the US Nationals is one of the most prestigious events, all factory teams and "best of the best" US drivers were in the place to showcase their racing skills and performance of their buggies.

Racing in the extremely tough competition, Jessy Robbers and Josh Wheeler were able to qualify with their XRAY XB8's in the A final and got a chance to fight for the prestigious US national title, while another four XRAY XB8's qualified for the B final. Having a perfect set-up and superbly performing XB8 cars, both Jessy and Josh were very confident and the chances looked very promising for the finals. Unfortunately Josh struggled with radio issues and had a servo problem that took him out of the fight for the top position, and he had to be satisfied with a lower finishing position. At the end Jesse finished 9th and Josh 11th.

Taking a look back at the race, it can be concluded that the XRAY USA/RC America team achieved a great result with placing two of their XB8 cars in the A final among such tight competition. For XB8 being the newest off-road car and for XRAY USA/RC America being the youngest team, the US Nationals was the first national-level race and both car and team did well over the expectations. This great result at such an important and highly-competitive race gives XRAY and the whole team the best motivation to keep up with the development and racing, and to bring the best products for the XRAY customers.
